Parada Plus Oil-Filled Electric Radiator
Why our radiators work well in drying cupboards?
Made in the UK, Purmo electric radiators from Thermosoft are designed to handle even the coldest European winters. Their fully enclosed element makes them a safe choice around washing. Plus, the panels are compact and slim, making them a perfect fit for any laundry room or cabinet.
Safe and effective. Our radiators are designed with laundry safety in mind, with no fire risk from direct contact with clothing.
No exposed element. The fully enclosed element keeps lint and dust from burning, unlike cheaper convection panel heaters with exposed elements.
Lint and dust-free. Electric radiators don't blow hot, dry air over laundry, keeping lint and dust off your clothes, unlike a standard dryer.
Radiant heat for superior drying. Our electric radiators directly warm objects, not just the air, for low energy use.
Gentle on clothes. Radiant warmth helps dry clothes gently, without the tumbling action of a standard dryer. Hang items in a ventilated space, let them dry, then they’re ready to wear.
Maintenance-free. Purmo electric panel radiators are maintenance-free, without the mechanical action of a dryer to worry about.
Splash-proof and versatile. With an IP44 splash rating, our radiators handle wet environments better than many competitors.
Smart design and size. Our radiators come in sizes that fit nicely under towel rails and in drying cabinets.
Affordable system. No need to buy costly prebuilt dryer cabinets. Convert a ventilated space to dry your garments.
Precise thermostat control. Precisely maintain drying cabinet temperature for optimal performance and energy use.
Reliable construction. Premium cold-rolled steel construction backed by extensive warranties ensures durability.
Family-safe design. Child safety modes limit surface temperature while providing radiant heat.
Easy to install. Installation is simple, with no ductwork or hydronic piping required.
Our range of radiators makes drying your clothes, shoes, hats, gloves and more a breeze, especially during wet weather. Whether it's silk shirts, velvet garments, or delicate items, our heaters work quietly and effectively to get your laundry dry and ready to wear.

Choosing the right drying cupboard radiator
Not all heaters are created equal when it comes to drying clothes safely and effectively. Here's what you need to know to make the best choice for your needs.
Can I use any heater in a drying cupboard?
There are certain features to look for when picking a drying cabinet heater.
Consider heaters specifically designed for enclosed spaces with moisture, such as electric radiators or hydronic systems.
Opt for heaters with gentle heat distribution to avoid damaging delicate fabrics, and ensure they have a fully enclosed element to prevent lint and dust buildup.
Our Purmo brand electric radiators are well suited due to their compact size, effective warmth and safety features.
With a fully enclosed element, they prevent lint and dust buildup. This reduces the risk of fire associated with standard dryers. Plus, their gentle heat distribution ensures delicate items like silk and velvet garments are dried without damage.
It's important that the dryer cabinet is adequately ventilated in addition to being heated, in order to make sure your washing ends up dry.
Our slim electric radiators fit seamlessly into cupboards without obstructing airflow for effective drying.
Which heaters are safe to use in a drying cupboard or cabinet?
A fully enclosed heating element is a must to prevent fire risk. Look for heaters with safety features like overheat protection and automatic shut-off to prevent fire hazards.
Plus Series radiators feature an overtemperature cutout that kicks in if the radiator is completely covered and excessive heat builds up, improving fire safety.
A splash rating is also essential, read on to find out why.
What is a splash rating?
Plus Series radiators have a high splash rating (IP44), making them suitable for rooms where they might get wet. This feature is perfect for both drying spaces and bathroom heaters.
IP stands for Ingress Protection. The rating indicates the dust and water resistance of the appliance.
An IP44 rating means that water splashed against the radiator will have no harmful effect on the appliance. So, you can rest easy knowing that Plus Series radiators are built to withstand water and humidity without any worries.
Can I leave items on top of the radiator to dry?
We don’t recommend placing clothes directly on top of the radiator. The top vent should stay clear so the radiator can work properly and last as long as possible. For best results, hang clothes nearby in a ventilated drying space.
What size radiator is best for a drying cabinet?
We recommend measuring your drying cupboard or cabinet space to make sure the radiator will fit properly. This ensures the performance and safety of the radiator. If it's too big it might obstruct airflow or access to clothes. It might also cost more to run than it needs to.
For very small drying cabinets, we recommend the Plus Series 250W models. These radiators are designed to provide effective heat in smaller spaces without overheating the space or making it hard to get to your clothes. If you have a larger drying cabinet or laundry room, consider a 500W or 750W model Purmo radiator, available in a range of sizes.
These models strike just the right balance between warmth and efficiency, thanks to their compact size and suitable wattage.
How important is energy efficiency when choosing a heater?
When selecting a heater, energy efficiency should be a top consideration. Not only does it help you save money, but it reduces your environmental impact. It's also important to weigh up the impact of using a clothes dryer versus hanging your clothes to dry.
Electric radiators like the Yali Plus and Parada Plus models can be very effective. Factors like insulation and room size will also affect their performance.
